My first Photo Shoot!

I had the pleasure of shooting my friend, Erica's beautiful babies today!  We had so much fun and I learned a LOT!  I won't go into all my mistakes but I am aware of them and have taken note for next time!  Overall I am very pleased with what I was able to do.  Here are a few of my favorites.  Enjoy!

Ginger and new Logo!

I have been working hard (during nap times of course!) on a new logo and I am pretty pleased with what I have come up with.  I may still tweek it some but for the most part it is done!  What do you think??

I attempted to do a shoot of Ginger today...she was clearly not in the mood!  I gave her a bath yesterday and blew her dry so she would be nice and floofy.  Her hair always dries so wonky though!

This first one is just a test shot that I think actually turned out pretty cool!  I love the reflection of the plexiglass and my new faux wall set up! (Thanks Brian!!)  However, Ginger was afraid of the plexiglass and wouldn't go near it so therefore you will not see it in her pics!

Angel Tree in Bloom

Our angel tree is a weeping cherry tree that we planted in memory of our babies we lost to miscarriage.  It is beautiful when it blooms in the spring but doens't last long!  Last year I missed getting a good shot of the blooms because the day after they came out we had a thunderstorm and it blew them all away.  We are expecting a storm later today so even though it is gloomy I wanted to get some shots.

I call this odd branch Haylea's Branch.  Last summer when I was pregnant this one branch started growing upward instead of "weeping."  I think someone was telling me something.

Easter!

Today Haylea and I did an Easter photo shoot!  Haylea had fun eating the fake grass and eggs...and I tried to get her to keep still for more than .5 seconds!  It was fun and here are some of my favorites.  Soooo hard to narrow it down to these 6!  They are actually SOOC besides resizing for web and adding my watermark.  Otherwise no edits!

Studio!

I finally ordered my lighting kit and backdrop stand!  I am waiting for my backdrops so I threw a blanket over my stand and snapped a few quick ones yesterday.  I caught a cute moment of Haylea and Ginger so I wanted to share even though the lighting is off and the pics themselves aren't that great.  But that is why I got it so I can practice!

Catching up and a change of plans!

I have decided that doing a 365 project while being a mommy of a 7 month old is rather difficult.  I have found that some days I remember around 10 pm that I haven't taken a pic and end up taking one just to take one.  That isn't really what I want to do because I want to take my time and practice with lighting and exposure.  I am still going to take pics when the opportunity arises but I think it will take the pressure off and I will be able to take better pics if I don't have to. 

So to catch up here are some recents that I have finally had a chance to post!  As I type this, Haylea is waking up so my computer time for the day is over!

Tea Party!

I just stayed up til 2am editing these pics...I am going to be hurting tomorrow (or should I say today?)!  They are just too cute not to share!  These are Haylea's 7 month pictures...she had a tea party!

7 Months!

My baby girl is seven months old today!  We celebrated by spending the day outside enjoying the beautiful spring day.
